Gutter washin

For the record, I do not usually allow my kids to lay in the gutter during a torrential downpour... however, I was not home when these were taken by my trusted babysitter... My sister Dana!

Paige did not want to get her clothes dirty, so she sat on the curb the entire time. Smart Girl!
However, the kids had a blast and I was left with a pile of wet clothes.

Jacob - 6 years old and counting

Have there ever been times in your life when you ask yourself... am I really that old? Times when you look closely in the mirror at those wrinkles that are starting to appear along side your eyes. When you realize that some things are taking you a bit longer to do now. When your kids are starting to ask you NOT to walk them to class anymore. When you start to relate more to the mothers of High School students then to the High School Students themselves. When you know that that guy is not "checking you out" anymore...probably because you are now driving a minivan full of kids rather then that cute little four door you used to drive. Knowing that I am soon to be the mother of a 6 year old has made me ask myself these questions alot more lately. Am I really that old? I do not think that this question will ever go away. I have passed that threshold. I have passed over to the other side. I am not a young mom anymore. I have a SIX YEAR OLD and my kids are only going to get older. With all that being said... now comes excepting it... I guess I am going to have to work on that.

See... I can pray for a car

Every morning I turn the TV in my bedroom on for the kids to watch a quick cartoon while I get myself and the baby ready for the day. When I turned it on this morning, I was greeted by a female preacher on some Christian Worship channel. This was not the last program I had watched the night before, I assure you... it must have been some early morning sermon. Anyway... the lady was talking about prayer and if we pray hard enough for something we will be blessed enough to receive it. I believe this to a degree, but what was odd here was that she was pertaining this to cars...

she says..
"I have some wonderful letters here from faithful people who had wonderful proof that they get what they pray for.
So and So writes... (I do not remember the name)
"I was in need of a car. My old one was just not working anymore and I needed a way to work. So, I prayed for a car and I was blessed with a car. In fact, the best car I have ever had."
So lets all pray for cars. If you need a car, let us pray for you so you can get that car. Get onto our web site and tell us if you need a car. In fact, tell us what kind of car you want even. We can all pray for you to get your car."

So, you see... if I pray then I will get that new SUV I have been wanting. All I have to do is tell this lady and I will get my car.

Congradulations Katie!

For those who have not heard, my baby sister is officially engaged!! I say officially because they had a temple date, a reception center, the wedding dress and photographer all picked out before she got the ring. Talk about cart before the horse!

Anyway, his name is Jeremy Bailey and he is from Orem. Funny enough, he is going to be a Police Officer and has plans of working at the prision with Neil. We are excited for her and for Jeremy to be a part of our family. Neil is glad to have a brother-in-law with such similar interests. I know you can tell that he has the same build as Neil too :)!!

They are set to get married on July 11th in the American Fork Temple. Did I mention that she is going to have to save me two seats in the sealing room, because I am going to be 9 1/2 months pregnant? Yea, fun times for me. I need to make sure I am placed in the BACK of all her wedding pictures.

Congradulations Katie and Jeremy

Don't you love it?

I have been waiting to see an article like this one come out. Of course I always had my suspicion about Brooke White and David Archuleta, but never heard any confirming news that they were members. It is nice to see the church so nicely represented in the reality television niche and see those good and faithful members properly represented in the media.
