Digital Scrapbooking

After a LONG break in digital scrapbooking... I am back at it. Thanks to my sister, Laurie who has taken this concept and run with it. She has gotten to be so good that she is now creating digital kits and making them available for downloading. Check out her site...

Our little Yellow Belt

Jacob has been in Karate for a few months now. He has REALLY enjoyed going. I have seen such a change in him and his confidence since joining. I really think he has a natural talent for it too. He now leads the class out and is often times used to demonstrate a skill or kick.

Yesterday was his first belt advancement test. He had to demonstrate all the skills he has learned in order to be awarded his yellow belt. He did awesome!! Great Job Jacob

When daddy has the baby...

Who is going to tell the men that these strollers are not real but intended for dolls? This is what I found when Neil was left with the baby. He was pushing her around the house in this doll size stroller. Am I going to find her in the doll size carrier too?

Kallie's Blessing Day

*I do not know what is up with her face here...

*Explanation: Paige is wearing her Bell Costume. This is not her church dress

**Do you like Paige's evil eye?

Yesterday was a special day for my family. Kallie was blessed by her dad. Since I had a lot of family in town for my Grandmothers Funeral, we decided last minute to bless her. It was really special to me to have my brother there to participate in the blessing. He lives so far away and I have missed them. I am so glad that things worked out that he was able to be there to help bless her.

She has been such a special addition to our family. Although the adjustment from two to three has been really draining on me, I would not take it back for anything. She adds a special spirit to our home and it has been fun having a newborn around. I can start to see her personality shining through already. She is really quite and sweet. She has started to smile and it lights up her face. We love to try to make her smile.

Good Sleeper

YES!!! My baby slept 7 1/2 hours last night straight!! She has done this about 3-4 times before, so I am thinking this might start to be her new trend! She is 6 weeks old today and is a great little sleeper. Of course, tonight might be a whole other story and she will only give me 4 hours, but I am excited for this new trend. It is amazing how much better you feel after getting some consecutive sleep.

PLEASE KEEP IT UP KALLIE!!

In Memory of my Grandma Jo

I have not posted anything about the recent passing of my Grandma yet. I do not know why. Maybe it is because I did not know how to properly express the thoughts I had of her. I wanted to have an entry of her so I can forever remember her and the love I had for her. She was a wonderful women who had SO much love to give. It is from her that I have learned of my great love of animals. She had such a strong love of animals and appreciated the joy they gave to her. Grandma Jo was a very caring person. This was emulated in the career she had as a nurse. She loved to serve and help others. She found peace and satisfaction by doing this. She was someone who loved to smile and if you did not have one, would give you hers. She was always positive and always an optimist. She always wanted those around her to look at the bright things in life. I will always Cherish the love that she had for me and my family.

Her obituary was posted in the paper today so I thought that I would post what was said about her there.

Maybe a little bit early

Yes, I have put up my "Fall" decorations already!! Ok, some may say "Trick or Treat" or "Happy Halloween", but I consider them fall, so I am not TOO early with putting them up...right?

I love this time or year. I think it is my favorite. I love the fall colors and could not wait to decorate my house with them. I may...may be just a little bit early, but I just could not wait any longer. And hay, the stores are already getting Christmas stuff out, so who is early now?

A sick newborn

Life is suddenly alot more work!! My little Kallie has a cold and it is so hard to see the little ones sick. Her nose is so little that any amount of blockage makes it very hard on her. She is having a hard time eating because her nose is plugged and she has to sleep upright. Poor little girl!!

I do not consider myself a paranoid mom. I have always had my kids out and about within days of them being born. I am not a freak about the clean hands rule before someone can hold them...
But, I have also not had a child sick this young before. Guess I need to rethink some things.
